Breezy & Easy? Those are words that normally are not in the same sentence if you are concerning yourself with fishing. July blew in..then didn’t, then did with fronts/tropical storms and now again is back to the beautiful sunshine, normalcy that we see. We ran the gauntlet and then didn’t have to.
I have fished backside for blues and stray spanish, bottom for flounder, mullet, and ocean for mack , ribbon, and shark. The amount of gear has been a hustle. Great folks aboard who did it all is the reason my week went so smoothly.
We love a chance to be on light tackle and our regulars have been rewarded with the bow overs! The fish may look scary but know their game on the ugly stick!
It is about being ready for what may be running at that time and going.
There are solid temps this week with a small front on Wednesday keeping your humidity in check. People often confuse a chance of rain with trouble and it is the wind if they howl that are the issue. It can rain in one township and not another. Welcome to the Outer Banks!
Lots of folks wonder about the afternoon trips and know normally if you find it in the morning then hey, you go right back to the same place! We are still on the hunt for macks and no doubt this week the tackle will get the work out!
thanks to those fishing with us as we really appreciate it!
remember: if there is a fish you are not seeing please ask prior to booking! It may not be in position or may require a different type of trip that we have not run to go get it!
