Normally, we are just beginning to see the big push on a lot of species. The winds which blew us around last week have begun to drop off giving crews a break and a hint of summer to come!
The second annual blessing of the Oregon Inlet fleet took place end of day last week and many familiar faces were seated at the portable picnic tables.
Sixty years of experience in various chairs as words were spoken to usher in the summer.
It is one of the quiet moments we get and trust me; there are not many in the season.
I have had phenomenal crews this last run! Just a few pushing on targeting certain things and depending on conditions, we always try our best to do that!
Cobias are still migrating and there and they have seen many a feather on this end in the last three weeks! Some are solid, some are mini ” me’s” and some are set to grow another year.
There are still larger fish once in a while but as you know we are casting casting and they have been here for a bit! 3/4 trips and all days have had the best shots but know they can ignore you or conditions may not be the best !
Spanish these last few days are on tap and that was a sight for sore eyes as blues have pulled a big disappearing act from their normal numbers. I have a lot more photos coming up! I want to thank those coming in, those aboard, and know that I have openings this week so if you are set to go-sunny skies are in the forecast! Call us at home!
