It is. Sometimes it is hard, successful, frustrating, fun, and moments of “what?” Pretty much sums it up all year long . Summer continues to attempt to settle in even with the occasional showers that almost remind you of the tropics.
My regulars have kept me untied and my new crews have given me an opportunity to get to know them and hear what back stories they have. We have never been cookie cutter and a lot of work has gone into lasting past 36yrs. for me personally. Fishing as we enter July has kept all my tackle in the water. I loved catching up with the Blanton crew. After it aired up that day we left the kings.
Clinton brought his whole family (yep, he was just a little guy when we first all fished together) and I about fell out to see how alike he and his son are. He was just lucky he brought the gorgeous women who ahem…kept hooking it up first!
Never let it be said they did not shine because sis walked away with a citation Triggerfish and the crew walked away with some great eating. I did hear him call his folks back home (Kendra so great to hear your voice) and I believe Tom will be jogging back down with them next time! Half days, 3/4 trips, all days we have been running them all. Kings continue to move up and out and we know sooner or later that that ship will sail.
It is nature to migrate and they are. The point is to get out with family and not make a list like a grocery. You can always speak with us prior to try to see if the fish you are interested in is even here the time of year you are!
It has been changing every day and you have got to wake up to go; see the weathervane to decide what and where. We fish, we spot, we cast, we troll; it all depends on what is what!
Hence the tackle is a big variety and you just never know!!! Welcome to fishing and Mother Nature-only if you are a product of the 70′s. will you remember the margarine commercial with Mother Nature. She does not liked to be fooled lol.
See these anglers? I am always amazed every time they come. They have a horseshoe or an “in” somewhere . We put a line and and “BAM.” I could not keep up! Noah, Quinn as well as Hannah and Wes had to help me with a second net. Eileen kept me organized and as much as they RAZZ on their cousin Tristan….he actually found his zen this trip and hooked up every time lolol.
All the triggers were headed to the smoker I believe. Thank you again Stoltz family for all you do for me and mine. Best friends and the guys are always so generous no matter what the bite. LOVE fishing with them. Linus anytime buddy. Thanks for letting us borrow your girlfriend for the morning.
I have more photos coming. Know that some days are easy and some all crews are working hard in a lot of territory to put it in the box. Winds are up today and due to lay down. We are ready for that! If you have not seen yourself here it is on the way!
7/8/17 : today few Macks in the box, sight on red drum release , and for us a released white dotter. tight lines and more as we know it.
If you are here and want to go best to just call us directly to avoid the lines, the wait, etc. We have some openings this week so lets hook it up as your schedule allows!
half days, all days, always. 3/4 trips and 4 person trips please call us personally for those details as the marina does not handle that for us.
