If you have seen the movie you get it. I keep hitting the clock and yet I see the pattern repeat itself. Tie, untie, fish , catch, weather gives, tie up, return, watch the swell build, name a new storm….for the LOVE of MIKE…
I miss the fishing, the calmer seas as well as my people who always make my days float by. I miss it all. So of course when we are not working it is Netflix and bon bons right? Uh…no….not by a long shot. A girl can dream though…maybe in the next life!
Paint the bottom, scrape the barnacles, put the shiny wheel on, polish the sides, do the inside of the box, paint the boards, paint the water line, paint the inside, paint the hard top, paint the third tier console, new cockpit carpet for the clients, etc .
I am doing things when free as well as making a list for next Spring. I am not done but I thank my early Spring groups who got us into the ocean this year for big blues, Macks, drum and everything fishy! It is not always like that but if they show I want to go. So if I have to sit, I will at least begin to bring us back up a bit as I still have months ahead of fishing (think Sept, Oct, to Thanksgiving).
Surfers are out in full force right now. beaches loaded with boards, locals, visitors, and onlookers. We love that. Best way to hang out with friends, check it out, and enjoy or compete.

you know that there was an incident at the Bar late yesterday afternoon when a wave broadsided a charter boat from Pirate’s Cove. We wish the crew and passengers the best as all were removed from the vessel but it sits today on the North side awaiting to be floated and moved . CG station Oregon inlet as well as Outerbanks Voice links are on our Facebook page sinbadsportfishing. It is simply a sad sight to see.
WEATHER: Hurricane/Storm Jose is forecast to be well offshore and moving quickly North which means high seas for a few days. Hurricane Maria (I am not making this up ok) is forecast to go through Barbuda, Antiguilla, and the island chains at present.
I am at the Inlet awaiting the seas to die down. I am in conversation with those wanting to go and those booked prior. Water is still good on the inside and some backwater boats were trout fishing today. Tight lines and as we get back to work we will post it!
